Description
Our organic sage essential oil for detergents comes from the species Salvia officinalis. Among international trading partners, the product bears the name Sage organic essential oil for detergents. The species is a subshrub native to Southern Europe and the Balkan Peninsula. The subshrub thrives in the temperate zone and belongs to the botanical family Lamiaceae, and our raw material grows on organically managed land in Bulgaria. The land in the country offers a temperate climate, and the stalk accumulates volatile compounds over its entire surface. The surface of the stalk also determines the pale yellow hue of the finished oil. The hue goes together with a liquid consistency, and the scent combines freshness with a light sweetness and a floral-fruity side at an intensity ranging from medium to strong. The aromatic profile retains its purity because steam distillation carries over only the volatile fraction of the raw material. The pure fraction gives the final product a recognizable olfactory character. The olfactory character is based on oxygenated monoterpenes, whose predominance in the aboveground parts varies with the developmental stage of the subshrub itself. The monoterpenes reach the oil unchanged, which is why its botanical purity remains fully preserved. The botanical purity is also evident in the composition, which gathers only the volatile substances of the plant itself. Application

In addition to dishwashing, the raw material is found in all-purpose cleaners for various surfaces and in detergents for glass and windows. Glass, dishes and fabrics receive the same function from the ingredient, since it belongs to the established perfuming raw materials in the composition of household products. The function is specifically perfuming and is expressed in a fresh, slightly sweet scent with a floral-fruity facet. The scent combines with lavender and rosemary essential oils in shared formulations for laundry and dishwashing. The three oils build a unified aromatic profile in these formulas. In detergents for glass and windows, sage oil also performs the role of an aromatic ingredient.

Storage

Store organic sage essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for detergent products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for detergents from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
